Marina joined SGI in October 2017 to lead the operational aspects of the Sustainable Gas Institute.
Marina studied Materials Science and Engineering and holds a PhD from Imperial College London. Her research focused on new manufacturing techniques for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells electrodes, such as infiltration and laser sintering. In her post-doctorate she led a collaborative research between Imperial College London and industrial partners (General Electric and Arcola Energy) that explored technical challenges of commercialisation of hydrogen-vanadium flow batteries.
Marina’s previous industrial experience includes research and development position in startup, and an engineering position at Intel. Prior to joining SGI Marina supported activities at Hydrogen and Fuel Cell SUPERGEN Hub aimed at facilitating the dialogue between academia and industry in low carbon energy sector.
