SGRI 2018 – Paper submission and selection process

The Sustainable Gas Research & Innovation (2018) conference will take place from Tuesday 25th until Wednesday 26th September in São Paulo, Brazil.
The main aim of this conference is to explore the role of natural gas in low carbon world.
We invite submissions in all areas of research covering right defined themes. In particular, we encourage submissions related to the conference theme “Transforming gas to transform the future”.
Research Area Themes:-
There are eight Research Themes.
1 Law, regulation and policies – Urban, social, environmental and economical impact of gas use
2 Decarbonization – CO2 utilization, fuel cell
3 CO2 Capture – CO2 separation and capture
4 CO2 infrastructure and general learnings – Advanced materials, compressors, line-ups, thermodynamics properties
5 Storage and Monitoring – CO2 storage, CO2 surveillance and monitoring
6 Methane Emission – CH4 fugitive emission monitoring, CH4 mitigation technologies
7 New uses for gas – Maritime technologies, heavy-duty use, advanced combustion
8 Gas infrastructure – Storage, distribution

The deadline to submit abstracts is 22nd July.

Format for submissions:-
Please take note as you will need to supply the following information for your abstract in the Google form:
- Introduction: Please provide a brief description of the challenge within broader context. Maximum 150 words.
- Objectives and Methodology: Please provide a brief description of objectives and methodology. Maximum 150 words.
- Results: Please provide key results and insights of your research to date. Maximum 300 words.
The Scientific Committee of SGRI 2018 will review each paper. Each paper will scored on relevance to the conference themes, originality, research methods and scientific quality.
The Committee is composed of academic and industry representatives from both Imperial College London and University of Sâo Paulo, and the conference sponsor, Royal Dutch Shell. plc.
All papers submitted will be included in SGRI 2018. The committee will select 24 papers for talks. All other papers will be presented as posters.
Submission deadline: 22nd July 2018 (11.59pm UK / 7.59pm Sâo Paulo)
Notification of submission decision: 15 August 2018
